More Stars than the King of Kings…

Less hype than The Greatest Story Ever Told…

Although it didn’t win as many Oscars as Spartacus…

The Ten Commandments is the longest award winning film of its kind that gives you bargain prices not to shake a stick at, I mean, staff.

Although The Greatest Story Ever Told contains a larger amount of Hollywood stars it must fill a minute of their film trailer by showing bits and pieces of reviews to entice you to see their film.

The Ten Commandments does not rely on the words of critics but the word of mouth of audience members who claim this to be the true Greatest Story Ever Filmed.

King of Kings is another contender for being the Greatest Story Ever Told.  But how great so why are there are only a handful of Hollywood stars associated with it.

King of Kings is 168 minutes, received no Oscars and contains fewer stars.

Spartacus is 188 minutes, Received 4 Oscars, and contains an equal amount of stars.

The Greatest Story Ever Told is 199 minutes, received no Oscars, and yet contains the greatest amount of stars.

The Ten Commandments is a whopping, 220 minutes, received one Oscar, has a good amount of stars and at the same time lives up to its claim of bargain prices for you get more film for your buck.

None of these other films compared themselves to other films in their trailers.

One of the most top grossing films of all time.

There is very little I would change in this marketing strategy since it was the top grossing film of 1956.  Advertising an all-star cast, special effects, along with an already intriguing story, it gave the public what television could not in addition to the continuous show times as well as those popular prices.
